AFS Forum 2026 was held at the Kigali Convention Centre
Last week the 20th Africa Food Systems Forum was held in Kigali, Rwanda with over 5,000 delegates from over 50 countries. It saw five days of plenaries, investment summits, breakout sessions, workshops and side events. The theme of this years summit was ‘Investing in Africa’s Agri-Food Systems: Nourishing Nations, Growing Jobs, Building Resilience’, highlighting the shift of Africa’s food systems from policy ambition to investable, commercially viable and climate resilient agendas.

The vision is to increase efforts to build healthier, more inclusive, sustainable, resilient and equitable food systems that have the power to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa by 2030. The forum provided a platform to catalyse the partnerships, investments, and commitments needed to build competitive, nutritious, climate-resilient food systems that create jobs, strengthen livelihoods, and position Africa as a leading global destination for sustainable agri-food investment.
